Ping iWI Anser Putter

Moveable weights In clubs which famously are In Taylormade’s leading r7 series drivers have now entered the market In the putter form. Pings new flat stick range ‘iWI’ feature interchangeable weights In the sole of the club. I think this Is a great Invention. Players can find the correct weight combinationation In the head to suit their set up and stroke. A possible nine different weight combinations can be made as long as you buy the seperate weight kit. Left handers will be happy with Ping. Not only Is the iWI anser putter available In a left handed model, the rest of the iWI series Is available In the left handed model as well.

Personally I didn’t like the putter. I didn’t like the feel of It. The pick up felt too heavy for me. Personally, I like a balanced feel putter. Neverless, people who like a heavy feeling blade putter which Is good to create a stable putter face would like this putter.

Odyssey White Hot XG Sabertooth Putter

Well………..It’s definatly one of the more radical designs of putters. Continuing the line of the White Hot XG Odyssey putters, this one comes In the shape of a sabertooth. This putter Is similar to the White Hot XG #7 which has ‘wings’ or added weight out on the perimiter of the putter which helps create that buzz word ‘MOI’. It also helps align the putter to the target. I like the insert in the White Hot XG putters. I’m a fan of putters having the back of the head designed to pick up the ball which the sabertooth does have. It’s only a minor detail but It Is handy to pick up and flick the ball from the putting green Into your hands without having to bend over.

The only problem I find with these putters Is often the face Is quite small. It does sometimes make It hard to get the ball rolling. If not struck properly, on long putts, It can cause the ball to bounce which Is a problem. The Sabertooth appears to have a slightly larger face but the problems still arrive.

Scotty Cameron SS Newport Putters

This Is what you call a high performance putter. No wonder this Is the main choice of putter for quality players. It may be one of the more expensive putters out on the market but It’s worth every dollar. This Is the best putter I have used. The high toe profile on this putter makes for a correct setup at address which Is a bonus. I love the clean appearance at address which the stepless shaft provides. Confidence Is important for putting well and this putter provides confidence In abundance.

The weight distribution of the Scotty Cameron SS Newport Putters Is sublime. The weights can be changed to suit the players specific desired headweight. The feel of the golf ball on the putter face Is magnificiant. The wide range of models provide many different options to suit all golfers.

The lack of left hand models for all options is the only real negative I could find for the  Scotty Cameron SS Newport Putters. The price Is also on the steep side. This Is cetainly a high performance putter.

Odyssey White Hot XG #7 Putter

Wow!!! What an amazing putter. The first time I tried out this putter, I sunk all 3 practice balls. The golf ball rolls true off this putter. The multi layer Insert In the putter face provides great feel, and also gets the ball rolling towards the hole. Exactly what you want your putter to do. The XG#7 Is a mallet putter, which I find easier to putt with. The design with the wings at the back, and the dotted weight alignment makes the putter easier to align towards the target. The added weight on the alignment line adds momentum to the ball, which gets It rolling. The wings on the back of the putter also make It handy to pick up the ball, off the green.

The only problem I found with this putter Is that the face Is quite small compared to most putters.
